Today I woke up at 5 and went to the stadium. There were my Wing Tsun teacher and several students. After a short warm up I joined them in 气功 Qigong. Shaolin (I'll call him this way) showed us three new actions. Now we know 6 Qigong actions which we are to practice till Friday, when we meet the teacher again. We're not going to meet him on Saturday, as usual, because he is going to the other city to pass exams on Law. Cool )) Ex-Shaolin monk who studies Law :D
After Qigong our teacher left us. Several students sticked around to practice a bit more. I practiced Wing Tsun movements, blocks and punches. After the training I had my traditional Chinese breakfast. At 7 30 I went to my hostel to watch some fight scenes with Donnie Yen.
At 8 25 Dilshad and I went to Wushu class. There we continued practicing 马步 (ma3bu4) and 弓步(gong1bu4) positions , 冲拳 (chong1quan2) and 推掌 (tui1zhang3) punches. After a good portion of stretching and practicing punches, one of Wushu guys gave me a stick. I learned two types of rotations. As usual, there are a lot of little, but important things which should be counted. Without knowing and practicing these things you'll not be able to study Wushu.
By the way, on a previous Wushu class Yulia said that teacher likes me. Today one of Wushu students brought me a brand new stick. He said that it's a present from teacher. WOW! ))) It's a good sign, I think.
Oh, I've almost forgotten to say, that two Indian people attended this Wushu class. They wore jeans and slippers. I think, It shows their disrespect to everybody who studies Wushu in our building. I don't want to tell something about Indians in general, I'm just saying what I see: they don't respect the culture China, they behave like they are better than Chinese people, they don't study Chinese on principle. Yet they can't actually speak english, but they teach Chinese students. I think, Chinese students are already tired of them being self-conceited. Anyway, the teacher showed me how to act with a stick and I showed pretty good results as for a newbie. Need to practice stick in spare time.
After the lesson had finished Wushu students invited me to their hostel to help me cut the stick. It's length should have been the same as my height. One of the Wushu students, who looks like Chinese Brad Pitt :D, spent around 20-30 minutes cutting my stick and giving it a good and fresh look. Sometimes one or two of his friends helped him. Of course, they didn't allow me to help them. I'm in shock again. I'm not going to speak about the country in which this kind of things usually don't happen (e n i a r k U) :DDD
Now I have a brand new stick ! Wee-haa!!!!!
After a while, I said good bye to my new friends and went to a dining hall to have a lunch. On my way to dining hall I met Dilshad, Kolya, Tanya and Tonya. Tanya and Tonya seemed to be not quite happy seeing me. Well, who cares. I gave a stick to Dilshad and asked him to be careful with it and don't give it to Kolya, who where eating a cookie and had dirty hands. It's important to respect and love your weapon - be it a sword, nunchaku, or a stick. You come along the road of improving together.
After having a lunch I went home to have some rest. Holy monkeys! I've been sleeping for 4 hours! I guess, it's because of hard work on Wushu classes last days. Anyway, after I woke up, I went for a supper (yeah, eat-sleep-eat-sleep... my fauvorite :DDD). Then I went to a concert, which was held not far from our hostel. I was surprised and pleased to hear Enigma. During the concert I was chatting with Chinese. Day by day I'm getting better in this kind of stuff.
At the evening I spend a bit of time on learning Chinese, then I wrote this post, and now I'm going to sleep.
